Great to know we can try out beta version of app releases on iOS, however, I have the same question/concern. I know there is currently an Xbox app in the App Store on iOS. If anyone would be so kind as to point CrunkMunk and I in the direction of a comparison
of the two it would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance!

Do you have Android or iOS? Go ahead and check either app store and see if there is the Xbox (beta) app and see if it lets you sign in from there.

Also check to see if you can correctly sign in to account.xbox.com.

In your phone settings, go to your App settings and make sure data sharing is allowed with the Xbox app.

It sounds like you've exhausted most good troubleshooting steps, and that it is indeed an issue with the app. I haven't heard of issue like this on the Android version of the app.

I know you can sign up for the beta app on Android... I know you'd just like it to work, so have you considered looking into the iOS XBox (beta) app may fix your issue?

Still can’t remote play on ios16 with 5G data.

Yup, remote play from any network outside of the network the Xbox is on is currently broken on iOS 16 and has been since iOS 16 beta's initial release.

The reviews on the iOS app on the iOS App Store are filled with people reporting the same, if you sort by most recent reviews.

The steps listed by Dérek will have no effect, as this is a bug in the Xbox app on iOS 16, not an issue with the Xbox or NAT configuration, as evidenced by the fact that Android, iOS 15 and below, and Windows devices will be able to remote play from the same Xbox out of network, but iOS 16 fails for those impacted.

Microsoft has yet to formally acknowledge this in any known issues listings. The best we can hope for is that a fix goes in at some point, versus them continuing to sweep it under the rug.
