Whereas for Need for Speed, it does support it based on the capabilities list.

I bought one game in the Microsoft Store on this account over 2 weeks ago but it was for Xbox One. Should I buy the game for xbox 360 with backward capability in Microsoft Store?

If you check the specs on the store using the store app on Windows 10, then it will tell you if the device is capable of running the game or not.

Ofcource you will be able to play offline, the saved games will be synked once you will connect but if there is no connection the xbox will utilise its capabilities to store your saved games and other stuff...so chill...the anouncement about the requirement
to be online is just a nbetter utilisation of the capabilities so in case something happens with the saved games you wont loose them and they will be stored on the cloud for the convenience, but if no connection is awailabe surely it will store the saves and
allow you to play in single player campaign untill it will find a connection to synk.
