    I tried hooking an LG tv up and got code T1423. It still doesn't work and the power options still list "Nothing" as the only option for everything.

    Let me ask, when you select "TV Setup" and the Xbox says it "automatically detected your TV and knowns how to control it", then you press "Next", what happens?

    Support pages suggest it tests volume, power and mute. Mine pauses for 20 seconds and then exits to the previous screen.

    I suspect module that generates the IR signal is bad.

    I'm sorry for reviving an old thread, but this has been happening to me for like 2 months now and I've just been ignoring it. Literally there is nothing I can do to fix it, the IR blaster NEVER fires at all. No matter what I do, reset, clear, factory restore,
    unplug, nothing - the Kinect isn't broken if Low Key Coyote got a replaced one and still had the same problem. This is a console problem itself. Any tips for fixing it? I don't want to buy a whole freakin' new console just to turn up the volume with my voice...
    but then again, that was one of the main selling points on why I bought an Xbox One over a PS4.

    When I say "Xbox, Volume Up", the Xbox pops up the window saying it heard me correctly, but the TV doesn't change. Voice commands that the xbox acknowledges but don't work:

    - changing volume

    - toggle mute

    - changing channels

    - power on tv at startup

    - power off tv at shutdown

    And many more!

    I'm starting to think that maybe my Kinect is broken.

    No dice.

    I wasn't sure if you were joking or not.

    I was able to fix it last time by unplugging and then reseting the TV setup screen, but that didn't work this time.

    Maybe if I unplug the Kinect and plug it back in. Maybe a connection on it is loose or something.
