Xbox Stop Crossplay or Provide an option for a Console ONLY Experience

Crossplay is not why people play on Xbox. You are forcing users to play with keyboard and mouse, supercharged PCs, and have yet to even fulfill your Xbox Series X orders. This is a frustrating time to be an Xbox supporter. Focus on the gaming experience and stop focusing on revenue. You have more than enough profit coming in to take a moment and invest in the Xbox Server Architecture to support a Console-Only experience.

you do realise that the majority of games online servers are actually owned and run by the devs/publishers of those games, microsoft just makes you pay to get access to them.

Xbox is not just a console anymore it is a service across more platforms.

Microsoft are just tapping back into a huge pool of gamers (more than all consoles combined) by going back to PC where they originally made games back in the 80's, 90's and so on.

Even playstation is following suite slowly.

why stop crossplay with pc, is it because of keyboard and mouse and higher refresh rates etc etc, if that is the case they then should stop cross play between xbox one and xbox series x as the series x has a higher refresh rate and is also an unfair advantage due to having more power.

don't say cheats, i play multiplayer on pc a lot and very rarely find cheaters, and there are a huge amount of cheaters on console too.

you can also use keyboard and mouse on console to these days, if you want a true console experience then you should all be on the exact same framerate, hardware, controller only.

VR and CrossPlay are two of the big words in the future of gaming I think. Bringing people together and providing a more realistic experience have been long term goals and those two items seem to provide a big boost to those goals.

Unfortunately disabling crossplay in system options results in not being able to find any games during matchmaking, forced me to turn it back on in Warzone last year. So this isn't viable for anyone.

Since I got a PS5 after turning off crossplay in the game I haven't had these issues, there's always games to be found.

On top of this people on reddit are claiming doing this for Halo doesn't actually disable crossplay there's still PC gamers in lobbies.

The main concern is implementing the option in game. And to add insult to injury both Warzone and Battlefield have this option implemented in game but it's greyed out on the xbox version of the game. The option is there but we've been blocked from accessing it.

Crossplay should be optional if you happen to have friends who play on PC. Console players who have been asking for crossplay were asking for Xbox vs PS crossplay.

Hello David, this ability of games to be crossplay is not activated by the console, but by the developer within the game.

Some games like Overwatch have the option to turn on crossplay in the game options menu, that's what you have to check.
