XBOX stole my money AND my game

Last month I digitally pre-ordered a game (WWE 2K17: Digital Deluxe Download) for $90.... I paid for the game, had it for atleast a week, unlocked achievements for it and everything... So I wake up this morning and attempt to start up the game on my Xbox
ONE, and I get a message stating that "In order for me to play the game, I must first purchase the game"... And that the money was refunded to my account. However, I log onto my card account and NONE of the money was refunded... And in order for me to play
the game THAT I ALREADY BOUGHT, they want me to pay ANOTHER $90

I absolutely REFUSE to pay another $90 for something that I already own.... Has this issue happened to anyone else?

    :)

  3. Xbox stole my money!

Approximately, 3 weeks ago I purchase an Xbox pre-paid card through my local convenience store. I bought the card so I can purchase games from the online store. I get home and try the card and it doesn’t work.. Says “check your sender name”. “It contains
a prohibited word”. So I try several more times because I figured I entered it wrong. Didn’t work again and the same message appeared.

Next I phoned the support line, I talked to a gentleman and explained the situation. He said it was because they were doing maintenance on the store. He also said that I should take it back to the store with the receipt and ask for a new one. I didn’t believe
him that the store was undergoing maintenance because I could still access the store and there was no warnings on the Xbox website, Twitter or Facebook. I took it down to the same store I bought it from explained what I was directed to do, but was informed
that I was supposed to give Xbox certain numbers off my receipt. Then Xbox was to contact the convenience store so they can confirm that the card was returned. The Xbox support didn’t ask for any information so I was now left with a pre-paid card that won’t
    work and I’m out 50$.

Out of pure frustration, I got into contact with another Xbox support person (Wanda) via the online messaging. I explained the problem for the 3rd time and after about 4 hours of messaging back and forth, Wanda informed me that they were going to reimburse
me my 50$. It seemed like a lot of frustration and repetition for a measly 50 bucks but I was just glad to be getting reimbursed.

So the next day, Wanda messaged me through email saying they were going to email me the reimbursement, I message her back and at this point I haven’t heard back. The last I was in contact with them was on the 24th of April.... So in conclusion, Xbox stole
my money and I just wanna add that I never have these issues on PS4. Maybe I’ll just junk my Xbox and spend my money on more Play Station.

I still have all the emails and a service request number that will show my side of the story.

  5. I had the exact same problem with my Black Ops 3 game disc which i had for 6 months or so, paid 60$ for, wasn't damaged or scratched, and was my favorite game. It was nearly impossible to get into contact with them and when i did
they said they can't help so i should take it to game stop to switch it out for a new one... If Xbox, the platform for the game did nothing to help, why would people in real life trade me a completely broken game they didn't sell to me for a new one?? I tried
anyways and they wouldn't take the game because they said although it isn't physically damaged, it doesn't run on the xbox or show up at all, informing me i got robbed basically. I'm trying to call them now, i"ve been on hold for 30 minutes and have already
set it up to where they should've called me by now. It's impossible to get into contact with them, and since this isn't a general problem most people have had with the game, so they really don't care to try to give me any kind of refund or new copy when i
contact them, when the only thing that does is lose their business slowly but surely. Why do they think I'd pay an overpriced cost just for my next game not to work either, it's not like they're gonna go broke to give a customer a working game they paid for.a
I'm leaving xbox soon i've lost my faith in its quality after defending it from people who **** on it for so long. Xbox only cares about the $$$$$$$$$$ so watch out, if you buy a game, 6 months later it'll probably render useless with no way to reimburse you
for what they stole. I'm going PC where the game prices are fair and you can get refunds when well known companies like this rob you then ignore you. Why don't they get it?? I don't wanna pay 90$ to get the game in a bundle pack that can't be sold separately
to steal more money from me!! All of it just seems like schemes to milk the most money possible out of vulnerable people. They only give deals on games when the games fail to sell or they are forced to by the developers of the game. They'll try to put every
expensive game in a bundle pack that cannot be purchased alone just for the 30 or 40 extra dollars.

    Xbox Stole My Money

When you say digital content do you mean:

    A game?

    DLC for a game?

Virtual currency for a game Or a consumable type item in a game? With this type of purchase MS is just the middle man and has no way of seeing whether or not the items/currency was placed on your character in game and you would need to contact the publisher
of the game to find out about that. If you let us know what game it was we may be able to get you in the right direction of where to go to talk to the publisher about this.

    Hi CaseyF1,

Thanks for keeping us updated with your replies. As the Ambassadors have stated, since the items you purchased were virtual currency, and you saw the purchase has gone through but haven't received the coins in game, you would need to contact the developers
to have them added to your in-game account.

Since you indicated that it is an EA title, if you haven't already done so, you can get in touch with them and get a ticket set up from the following site: https://help.ea.com/contact-us/.

Since there is no further resolution and in an effort to minimize repetitive answers we will be locking this thread, but if you have any further questions or concerns feel free to come back to the Xbox forum.

    Happy gaming.

    stole my money

Hi and thanks for reaching Microsoft Xbox gamer's community. My name is Josef.

I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft Xbox user like you.

Hope you're doing great today despite this Conrad

In some cases a purchase can take up to 48 hours to be reflected in your account order history and in-game

For now the best option is wait this time buddy

But just to let you know that if more than 48 hours passed and you not receive the content yet, probably something went wrong with the purchase and Microsoft is going to refund the money to you.

This process can take up to 3 business days, but time will be less or more depending on your financial institution internal processes.

You can try speeding up this process asking them to manually cancel the pending charges

If you have further questions feel free to ask, greetings from another Microsoft user

    Xbox Stole My Money

    Hi there,

I'm sorry to hear about your experience, but the only valid advice we can give on the forums, is to contact

    Xbox Support
over the phone and calmly explain the situation again.

In normal circumstances, you can apply for a refund within the first 2 weeks of owning the game, and if you have played less than 2 hours of it. This time is considered enough to ascertain whether you are satisfied with your purchase or not.

Make sure that you have the evidence of the purchase, and all communications via your 'Sent' emails, to hand. If you have previously been given a refund within the last 12 months, your request maybe denied because of that.

    Best,

    L
