Xbox stock microphone still not working!

THIS QUESTION/PROBLEM IS NOT ANSWERED OR FIXED!

My Xbox stock microphone(s) still does not work, I've opened all ports, my NAT type is open, i did the "power cycle" (turn on and off by unplugging and inserting the power cord), held the Xbox button on the controller in (turned on and off), reset my router,
bought 3 new mics, had a friend bring his mic and controller round to my house, tried my microphone in different controllers, did the skype test microphone test and called my friend, deleted my Xbox gamer tag and re-downloaded it, assigned the microphone to
different profiles using my own and different controllers and there are no updates, the microphone still don't work .

When im in party or game chat the microphone symbol (not the sound) works like it normally would but no-one can hear me and I can not hear them, no the party is not muted, no game chat is not muted, no I have not muted or blocked their gamer profile .

On the Xbox stock microphone buttons the mute button light will turn on and off, but the volume control buttons do not adjust the volume .

This is really annoying please fix it .

Xbox One Microphone Issue

It is kind of difficult to explain (unless this is a common issue) but ill try my best. All yesterday my xbox one microphone was working but now today i turned on my xbox and was talking in a party through the kinect for about 20 mins. Then I went to plug
in my microphone and when I did the volume button and mute button were working but there was no sound coming through or out of the microphone, it was still going through the kinect. Which means I know the microphone is on but it's not actually working.

2 weeks later and it's still not working...

 

try updating your controller my firmware is 2.3.2385.0

please try and go to settings>account>privacy & online safety>View details & customise. make sure the third box (option) says to everyone (or friends) which ever you want to listen and talk to.

if your parents setup your account then talk to them and make sure they didn't block these settings as a kid (family) account setup they will have control over your settings at this point in time.

if all else fails call the xbox support line and ask them to help you on the xbox live side.

 

Thank you for the suggestion but I have all ready tried these steps, I have tried all recommended fixes and I have no update for my controller so thank you for your help but the problem still remains after 3 months.

 

Finally got a mic to work after four months, I fixed my problem by buying a new controller and headphone set .

It looks like the stock controller for the Xbox one had problems updating because as soon as I connected my new controller I had to update and it worked and i was able to hear and speak to people .

I tried all the steps below before buying the new controller and headset and they did not work, i believe it was because there was no update for my old stock controller or there was a problem updating it .

This is what I did :

1. Turned off the Xbox one by unplugging it from the wall .

2. Removed all parts of the charge and play kit out of the stock controller and put them into the new controller .

3. Connected the Xbox one back into the wall and switched it on .

4. Then updated the new controller .

5. Connected the new headset to the new controller and started up Call of Duty Black ops 3 .

The new controller I bought had the new 3.5mm connection, where as the old controller was stock and did not,

I think this might also be part of the problem .

The headset I bought were Kama Tritons with the 3.5mm connector and the old headset was the Xbox one stock headset .
