    I'm gonna start off basic and say this out loud: I think I have the grey screen of death.

    so I got on my Xbox 1 S around 8:01 PM today and i went on HDMI 2 and turned it on. grey screen.

    so what i did was the usual, i unplugged it completely and plugged it back in.

    nada, so i went on google and searched how to fix this problem, unplug the source (looks like a double barrel) wait 10 seconds, unplugged my HDMI cord, waited 10 seconds. Then i plugged it back in, then the HDMI, again, after 10 seconds.

    Nothing.

    So please, if a professional can help a man in need, it'd be greatly appreciated.

    well, my xbox finally can go through the startup screen and it's on dashboard right now. But taking long time at the startup screen like over 20 mins that freaks me out.

    Thanks for your response.

    Just tried power reset again keeping time gap of 30 mins. XBOX button goes off after few seconds. Then I pressed EJECT button and it started fortunately. Also Xbox screen started (green startup screen) and goes on. So startup screen came up (green XBOX screen).
    Then all goes off unfortunately.

    First, check all your connections to the console, ensure that you didn’t accidentally loosen the HDMI cable in the “Out” port of your console. If that doesnt work, then you may consider a hard restart by holding the power button down until the light turns
    off. If that doesn’t work, you may want to try the method shown in this video. It is a hard factory reset. I’ve used it and it does work. However, use this as a last resort, because it will wipe all data off your console. You’ll not lose any of your purchases,
    but you will need to sign back into your account and install all of your apps and games again. You will not lose any progress made in games, as they’re saved in the Cloud and will just Sync back into your hard drive as you resume the progress.

    The power button on my Xbox started flashing when it got to the startup screen after that the screen turned black and it booted up normally

    Microsoft haven't said it is. I believe the green Xbox One startup screen will stay, and the Xbox Series X/S will get the new Xbox boot up screen.
