XBOX starter issue - sound and controller

I have setup an XBOX One S next to my Windows computer, just to play some car racing games

The XBOX is connected to my PC's screen, and I'm using a wireless XBOX controller to game

All is OK there ... except there is no sound.

That is because I'm current using an HDMI -> VGA convertor to connect to my screen.

And, as you know, VGA does not carry sound, only video.

So that is the first problem. The only other connection to the screen, is a VDI.

This is the computer standard (and, that one is also video only - no sound).

I'm wanting to know the simplest solution for this problem.

Getting another screen, with HDMI output is an obvious but little usable solution.

But then, there's another problem. I have this steering wheel, a Logitech G27 which is working just fine.

.. on my computer that is.

The objective is to use that steering wheel as well, for my XBOX.

Just connecting that one, doesn't work.

I had a look around, but there's too many diverse solutions shown.

I guess that now, a couple of years after XBOX One release, there's probably 1 easy method available.

The Logitech wheel is the most used wheel around, it's not really an exotic device ..

( And the G27 is not the latest model either, same solution could apply for either G25 or G29 )

to find help with specific issues. I understand you're having a couple of issues. I will be addressing the first issue here about the use of the monitor and receiving no sound. To be honest the monitor sounds like it is not compatible to have the console's
sound come out of its speakers unless there is an optical audio port to plug the console into. (Optical audio cable not included with Xbox one purchase). I've personally been in this same exact situation before and I would do to things to get to hear the audio.
For example if I was watching media content like Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, etc... I would plug a good little speaker through its AUX cord straight into the controller and could hear my shows that way. For gaming I would just plug in my standard gaming headset
or any working earbuds and you can hear the game through there and also talk to your friends! Give those options a try and let us know with a reply how it goes.

Logitech G27 doesn't support Xbox One, as you know, and you will need to upgrade it to G29.

For audio and video solution you can use some A/V receiver wit HDMI input and VGA and stereo output. Optical cable can be used also. You can use it for good quality stereo system and had a good sound. Or find some video converter

You can use your controller 3,5 mm output for connecting headphones.

Hey mate, this actually sounds a lot more like a memory issue than a network issue. For starters, can you please remove your HDD, to see if there's any difference in the freezing/slowness issues?
