    Xbox Splash Screen for a good few minutes then black screen


    When I boot my console now, I get the xbox one splash screen, it stays up for a while then the screen goes black. Still technically a signal from the xbox as the tv doesn't ask me to check the signal cable or anything. Once it came up with a notification
    saying "Sorry Harry" and that was it.

    I've tried the power cycle and I've tried this thread too

    anyone got any other ideas I could try?

    Green screen to black screen

    Just as a heads up, the black screen is normal.

    It should be green splash, black screen then dashboard.

    After a system update, the black screen can remain for a few minutes before you see anything.

    Endless loading in games

    COD seemed to have froze for a good thirty minutes on the splash screen. When I tried to run other programs, they too froze. The game also constantly flashes a black screen while playing.

    This happens to me all the time after the xbox bit when the screen go's blank I just hold the middle button down till the turn controler off thing comes up then press B an it comes on

    Did your issue involve the xbox taking a good few minutes to go from a black screen to the loading screen too?

    How long are you leaving it on the black screen?

    During a cold start you will get the green splash, then black screen which can last a number of minutes looking like it isn't doing anything then it will load up into the Dashboard.
