Discus and support Xbox speaker icon with line across it in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I took the battery charger/batteries out of the controller and put it back in and that fixed the problem.     I took the battery charger/batteries out of the controller and put it back in and that fixed the problem.

    I initially thought my headset was faulty.

    Hope this helps anyone having the same issue.

    That's a trick I usually go to as well lol. If that doesnt do it a hard reset of the console fixes it almost every time.

    This is normally the first thing I do with any controller issues. Nothing like being in a BR and trying to unplug and plug your batteries in before someone kills you.

    The line means you are muted, go to party settings and press unmute.
