Xbox sounds like a jet engine then crashes/shuts down

Only crashes occur when going from youtube to dark souls 2. And by crash i mean the xbox completely shuts down, totally off.

This has never happened before but has now repeated this fault 3 times just today, factory resseting after the second occurance. Prior to this i could have both youtube and dark souls open and switch between them seemlessly. The jet engine noise happens
probably 75% of the time a game is opened in the past couple of months.

I’m out of warranty i think so any ideas on how to fix this? Is it a dust issue?

Yeah also for me. My Xbox 360 sounds like a jet engine when I'm playing fifa.

 

My xbox sounds like a jet engine.

Send it back to where you got it from and ask them to either repair or replace it.

 

Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart
the console.

 

Still sounds like a jet engine, didn’t crash the first time, but i cycled between youtube and dark souls one more time and once again the whole xbox shut down

 

I’ve been monitoring reddit and other people are experiencing this too, all starting this week past week, some in youtube app and spotify app. As an ambassador can you pass on word something is seriously wrong with a recent update??

 

sounds like the fan is working overtime, your hard drive must be over heating

Opening spotify basically makes my Xbox die and turn off. Never had this problem until last week. Anyone else? : xboxone

This is a wide spread problem, everyone saying the same that it has started within this last week, everyone opening games from an app and their xbox totally crashing. There’s more posts too all over these aren’t the only examples!
