    Xbox Sound with Tiamat 7.1


    Hello, I recently hooked up an Xbox One to mymonitor. The default sound coming out of my monitor is just awful, I have a pair of Razer Tiamat 7.1 headphones hooked up to my computer is there anyway I can use those headphones with my Xbox One (preferably
    without adapters but okay if I have to). I don't mind not having the full 7.1 I just want audio and maybe a mic to use. Thanks

    I'm fine if they don't do the true 7.1 with the xbox...if i get the tiamat I would then be able to use it with my computer as well. But both of those headsets will work with the Xbox One?

    Just to get one thing straight. Your priority is the headset to be for the PC or the Xbox?

    What I can already tell you is that the only real 7.1 ( and not virtual ) surround headset right now is the Tiamat 7.1 by Razer from what I know cause Ive been researching for months about headsets myself. Let me know and I'll try to be of help.

    Xbox 360 Backwards Compatible games not outputting 7.1 audio from HDMI

    Hey there,

    The Xbox 360 console doesn't support 7.1 surround, only 5.1 Dolby Digital and DTS. Due to this, it is normal that backward compatible games are outputting 5.1 surround. On your Xbox 360 setup, it sounds you have it set up with Pro Logic IIx to simulate 7.1
    surround sound, but the Xbox 360 console doesn't support true 7.1 surround sound.

    Hope this helps clear it up.

    Getting 7.1 sound on a Samsung HT-F9730W 7.1-Channel HT system.

    I am having the same issue. I can only get 5.1 sound from the Xbox One. I have to use another port on my receiver to my Blue Ray player and PC. The only 7.1 sound I can get is PCM 7.1 not Dolby TrueHD 7.1.
