    Xbox sound like it is turning on, but it doesn't


    Hello! My Xbox one suddenly won't turn on. The console makes the typical beep noise when I hit the start button, but then the light does not come on. The external drive lights up. The controller even starts flashing. Just no light on the console,
    and doesn't start up. Any suggestions?? Thank you!

    How do I take the XBox One off the insider program? Mine just makes the start-up noise then does nothing.

    Hey there. Im an xbox ambassador that is having this EXACT issue. What i did so far is taking my system off the Insider program which initiated a ~4 gb update and since then its been working pretty well. Hopefully youre in the program as well, just make
    sure to fully opt out of it for now to try to fix your system. Let me know if that is fixing it

    Switch DVR input when Xbox One is turned on

    The setting in the AVR is all or nothing, which is on right now.

    It sounds like the xbox just doesn't send that message when it's turn on; maybe in a future update

    Does the XB1 make a noise when accessing the HDD?

    It's really, really hard to tell on a video. I turned the volume up pretty loud and it just sounds like a hard drive accessing files. It doesn't sound like anything is wrong, but you'd be better able to tell by yourself comparing your console with another
    Xbox One in person.

    This only temporarily solves the problem. Does anyone have any suggestions? It doesn't sound like the ethernet is the issue. Something in the xbox.

    Just something I noticed was the power cord is still white after turning the xbox off, so it doesn't change to orange.
