    Xbox sound issue after update


    Xbox updated after I left this morning, was good before i left but now my sound is all distorted. Sound is normal when the xbox logo first appears but once it hits the home screen my audio makes a weird noise and everything sounds distorted. Its like this for my surround sound and also my Astro headset. Unplugged everything and then plugged back in, didnt fix the issue.

    No Sound After Update?

    I went through a lot of possible solutions with a very nice, able and willing community ambassador but none of the solutions worked. I found the solution afterwards when I discovered that my PS3 and Xbox360 were also silent, I had only checked my SCART connected
    satellite receiver before and not any other HDMI devices; only HDMI devices were silent. Something in the update must have messed up my tv; I unplugged the tv, waited a bit, plugged it back in and the sound worked.

    I'm having the same issue. Sound from my xbox works fine, but when I connect to my phone with bluetooth to join voice chat via discord, the sound goes in and out. Sometimes it's clear, and sometimes it sounds really rough and cuts out. I've tried updating the firmware, disconnecting and reconnecting, but after a while the issue always returns.

    It is an Xbox 360 console. I have cleared the cache a few times, yes. Whenever I re-downloaded the update after clearing the cache, the same issue persisted.

    Also it is not just the issue of no sound, the game crashes the console completely on start up with the update.

    Continuing without the update the game is fine.
