    Hey guys,

    Currently I have an Xbox One S with HDMI, USB, and SPDIF outs.

    Since I own a pair of HD 650s with a modmic I've been looking into getting set up without having to go through the controller.

    Obviously for output I can use my SPDIF port or Audio over HDMI but I was hoping to see if there was any way I could get ta 3.5mm microphone input through say a USB dongle?

    If not are there any alternative solutions like somehow converting the headset to bluetooth?

    Hello!

    Thanks for reaching out to us here on the forums with this inquiry. I understand you're wanting to use you're headset with your Xbox One but without having to go through the controllers 3.5 mm AUX jack is that correct? To be honest, there are certain headsets
    that do just that but they have to be designed to do so by their manufacturers.Those are all 3rd party products that come with their own wireless dongles. As far as converting a dongle or headset, to do so, that would also be completely involve third party
    tools and equipment and not something recommended by Microsoft as it may cause damage to your equipment. Hope this helps.

    To me, that sounds like a mechanical issue. If you are able to swap it out with the retailer then I would do that, otherwise, contact Xbox Support, but it sounds like the machine will have to be replaced.

    Hey there,

    Some apps such as YouTube do not support surround sound on Xbox One. If some games & apps work with surround sound, while specific apps do not, the best route to take will be to reach out to the developers of those specific apps to inquire about possible
    surround sound support.

    Sounds like it was a time limited code. Your best solution is to call Xbox Support. There is no other support that I'm aware of. You may be out of luck.

    Never have it go through the TV I had sound problems for months took a lot of playing around with cables settings youtube videos/forums to learn about sound

    Your best turning HDMI audio off then using dolby digital not DTS into your amp to make sure there is no sound coming from HDMI and remember most youtube videos will not be 5.1
