Xbox Software Issues

I have an Xbox One S, for the past month it's software has been "playing up". I can use certain buttons on my controller such as home and bumpers but cannot use 'X'. Note: To be clear it's a software issue.
I can't really do much as in addition to this as my network is cut off by the OS, cannot sign in or use settings because of what I mentioned earlier. I've only had the console for a year now and the last time I used this before the software became
unresponsive it was working perfectly.

Third party headsets might cause all the problems you listed there. Try turning the headsets off and totally disconnecting them for a day or 2 and see if the problem still persists.

Ever since the release, I've had software/hardware issues,

few examples;

Xbox not turning on, multiple tries either by voice, controller, or power button. Eventually one will work, or lock up and have to repeat the process, or it will work but controlller wont function. (powering on without voice generally makes my mic not work)

Turning mic off and on will make it un useable, not sure if thats because its a turtle beach and not the standard one now.

playing halo, match loading screen, audio skipping and boots me to home page (happens more often then I'd like to admit)

have had this happen with Halo 5 and today Doom, disc in drive. Go to select it from the home page to load, and it will bring up a screen saying I do not own the content, go to store and buy it or cancel.

currently can not access xbox live store. Seems to be no errors on site services are okay.

Now as I'm aware everything is updated, but I was just wondering if anyone else has issues similiar? or has any ideas on how to fix them? Or is it just myself? or just xbox trying to do so much with the xbox one it is just bound to happen?

Have you tried another controller? Maybe the "x" button is broken on your controller.

 

Hi! First you should connect the controller via microUSB to your Xbox One for at least 10 minutes in order to let it update. Have you tried using a different controller with that console in order to find out if it's a software side issue?

As said in bold and yes, I've ran a diagnosis by using other controllers that are in working condition.

 

I've recently found out that the OS is responding now which is better dispute it still taking a while to actually respond. Once I used a wired controller (By PowerA) for some odd reason it finally responded (With the minor problems in
bold) and as a result my wireless controller began to work as well. I was able to sign into my account. Will update with any more problems.

 

From what I can tell it has something to do with the OS's responses to button presses specifically x button presses.

 

Im glad you finally found a solution for this issue, sometimes weird stuff happens, i lived trough a lot of those...i call it technologicall voodoo ;-).
