Xbox Snap

I think its terrible that my snap has been removed. This has made the playability worse than the xbox 360. They may as well have brought out a high spec 360 with better graphics and sound. It would be way superior to what we have now.

The one has largely destroyed the fun side of games like cod as nobody is in game chat. You can barely listen to anything in the background.

Change gears sort it out and I think here reverse is the best option. Stop messing with stuff for no good reason.

I would like a xbox snap friends, stay in main, so i can load the snap up the snap app but carry on playing until its loaded, but I agree, saying the snap friends is very cool IMO

Seriously though, the new update didn't kill voice chat on any game, that whole problem started waaaaaaay back when Microsoft introduced party chat.

They removed the snap feature for very good reasons:

1: Snapping TV only really worked in countries that that displayed the TV at the right frequency, in the UK (and other countries) it didn't really work as the TV is a different frequency to the dashboard, so the TV picture would be stutter.

2: The snap feature used up resources that can and should have been used to make games run better, after all, the machine is a games machine and we buy them to play games.

3: Microsoft no doubt looked at how many people actually used the snap feature, and found it was a small percentage of the people that use the system, and decided they could get rid of it, same thing with Kinect.

 

yeah im in the UK , my point was more general than just the update , the chat system was already a big down than that of the 360 it even caused lag and killed a lot of the community stuff dead I used to make loads of friends on SandD with no party chat.
The background music thing was a given on the 360. Snap at least allowed me to hear the tv through my headset while I had another one on. It saves all of my poor Fifa opponents having to listen to Star Trek full pelt too lol. It just seems Xbox worked better

Again though its the whole apps upon app all running in the background using resources that should really be used by the games, I mean thats why we all bought the console in the first place, to play games. I know that someone people used the background
music feature, and all the other snap features. But Microsoft wouldn't have removed them if a high percentage of people actually used them, and the fact that they have been removed kind of shows that they weren't being used by enough people.

Also I actually think that the background music thing has been brought back anyway, cant remember what its called, but its in the latest update.
