Xbox Snap Button.

During game play, there are some buttons that aren't used etc. Perhaps a snap button could be implemented? because I keep having to say "Xbox Snap" and it's bloody silly!

You can try the command XBox snap youtube or hit your xbox home button twice quickly and select the snap and app and select youtube.

 

How to Use Snap

Snap allows Xbox One users to open multiple panes in a single window, allowing you to do things like watch TV and play a game simultaneously.

1. To use Snap, press your Xbox button to go to the Home screen.
2. Next go to the box labeled "Snap", which will open a snap sidebar inside your main window.

Do keep in mind that using Kinect you can simply say "Xbox Snap" or "Xbox Snap (insert app)" and it will work just the same. One example would be "Xbox Snap ESPN" or "Xbox Snap Internet Explorer"

3. Next select the app that you want to Snap from the list that pops up. (This will open the app in a side window.)
4. To close a Snapped app, simply return to the home screen and select Unsnap. Likewise on Kinect simply say "Xbox Unsnap"


To switch between a Snapped app and the main app or to control one over the other, use the Kinect Command "Xbox switch" or you can go to the Home Screen with the controller and switch between them. I find the best (easiest) way is to "double tap" the Xbox button to switch between them without having to go to the home screen or talk to your Kinect. ​

 

What's silly about the "Xbox snap" voice command? It works just fine for me. Also, all you have to do without the voice command is press the guide button in the middle of your controller to go back to the home screen, press right once on the joystick or
d-pad to navigate to the snap tile, and then press A to select it. It's easy!

 

But then you have to wait for the Snap app to open to select the app you want snapped, so a voice command is simpler and bypasses half the wait.

What about games where every button is used like Titanfall or Watch Dogs?

 

I would like a xbox snap friends, stay in main, so i can load the snap up the snap app but carry on playing until its loaded, but I agree, saying the snap friends is very cool IMO

 

It'd just be nice to press both menu buttons perhaps to open up snap and continue where I left off, yes pressing the home button can be done but it seems pointless to have to go back to the main menu and stuff when I could do it without interrupting game
play.

 

You cant have a dedicated Snap button as it would interfere with games that use all the buttons.

 

Being able to snap whatever you want in an instant, is extremely convenient. Good thing that's what the voice command is for. I mean seriously, of all the useless things people have suggested on this forum....

 

You could press both menu/select buttons at the same time perhaps? It saves time, not by much, but it wouldn't interupt gameplay as much. Sometimes the voice features doesn't work for me.
