    Xbox slow download speeds


    Recently my xbox has been having slow download speeds of 5 mb/s to 100 kb/s however when i test network speed and statistics my download speed is always 70+ mb/s and ive tried restarting xbox and wifi and disconnecting my xbox from wifi and nothing seems
    to be working.

    Help would be greatly appreciated

    If your download speeds are slow that would be internet related not the Xbox .

    Hello!

    Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. Are you connecting the console to the network through an ethernet cable or WiFi? The ethernet cord will give a better download speed. There are different categories of ethernet cords that allocate different
    speeds. An example is the CAT6 which allows a Gigabit of download speed. We recommend making sure there are no applications, games or other downloads that are active as this can slow down the overall download speed. The article entitled

    Your download speed is also highly dependant on what speed you get from your ISP. How can MS improve download speeds, if your connections are slow. Do you even know what your speeds are?

    I'm on 120Mb/s down 10Mb/s up. No slow downloads here. As for an HD iTunes movie, they are typically around 3GB, a typical Xbox One game is between 10 and 50GB.
