    Xbox sleep mode taking my router wifi offline


    So this is crazy and I didn't believe my roommate at first when he told me. I have my xbox one plugged in to my router with a ethernet cable. Recently (within the last month or two) our router wifi and wired has recently stopped working randomly. My roommate
    discovered that if he unplugged the ethernet cable that is connected to my xbox one then the internet would start working again. I was in disbelief when he told me but I decided to test it. With further investigation I figured out infact the xbox one was taking
    our internet offline, BUT only when it was in sleep mode. I figured out once my xbox one is in sleep mode for a period of time the internet in my house stops working for every other device.

    Does anyone have any ideas/solutions to this problem?

    How do I play Battlefront without being connected to the internet?

    I'm at a hotel on vacation and Xbox One hates the wifi. I want to play Battlefront offline mode but it keeps asking me to log in to Xbox live. I can't seem to figure out how to play without logging online. Help!

    I don't want to do the stupid mac address trick taking my other devices offline. All my other systems and devices hook up just fine.

    this problem starts when I take my xbox one offline mode that in settings . but my halo works fine on limited wifi .

    Wireless intermittently stops working on Xbox One

    It turns out that my router has scheduled reboots on Wednesday and Saturday. Since turning the scheduled reboots off, I no longer have issues with the wireless on the Xbox. Guess the Xbox can't withstand losing its wifi connection when it is turned off
    in instant on mode or essentially sleep mode.

    Console is suddenly switching power on and off multiple times.

    People were having an issue with them restarting because of their WiFi somwhow, If your using WiFi try connecting it with a cable instead and see if that make any difference.

    It worked for others, but if your not using WiFi i'm not sure. Or make sure you Router does not have the sleep modes enabled since they were somehow shutting off Xbox Ones their connected too.

    I make a little test last day :)

    I turn on my xbox and check the internet connencion. It was OK.

    I turn off the xbox with instant on

    after 10 min i turn off my wifi router and wait 5 min and after that i turn on

    Wait 5 min and check the router from my PC

    I see my Pc, my tablet and the One is on the wifi

    I turn on the Xbox

    After 10 min i check the console and the picture is same with my YT link

    The One is not see they have internet, but if i go to setting and push B to back they see, there is internet and working 100%

    Why not check the internet connection if reconectiong to the router at instant on mode?

    my router is goning to sleep every night 3-5 am

    Somebody else can test it with another xbox one please do it

    I'd like to check my xbox wifi, or the OS is stupid and not check the internet connection if reconect to the wifi at instant on mode if the concole is turned off

    New Xbox One S drops network connection when in Instant On mode

    I have the same issue here.

    Xbox One X connected to 3560-CG Cisco switch. My Xbox is in "instant on" mode but still seems to lose internet connectivity when its 'sleeping'. When I turn my Xbox on it shows no internet connection and takes a few seconds to get connected. An overnight
    ping stream showed roughly 2 successful pings every half hour or so.

    Connected my Xbox directly into my ASUS RT3100 wifi router and experienced the same issue. Cable is 100% good but tried multiple cables just to be sure.

    Has anyone found a solution to this yet?
