XBox sign-in: Service unavailable! (0x80a40401)

Greetings from Tehran, Iran.

I had been wanting for a long time to get myself an XBox One. I finally did yesterday but seems I cannot simply sign in with my Outlook email. Error pops up saying "you appear to be in a region where this service is not available".

This is ridiculous, isn't it?

Please help me sign in.

У меня при входе в профиль на xbox выскакивает ошибка .Служба недоступна .Вы находитесь в регионе ,где эта служба недоступна.(0x80a40401)

Hello everyone

I have a problem signing in on my xbox one too

a message appears where says :

You appear to be in a region where this service is not available. ( 0x80a40401)

what is the error and how do i fix it

Hi, unfortunately some regions are not supported by xbox live. Xbox Live Countries | Xbox Live International

Hi,

as already answered, Xbox Live is not available in all regions.

I saw the page and the country i have on my xbox is supported yet it is still giving me the same error

Please make sure your account is set to your correct region.

You see this message when you try to access Xbox Live:

Service unavailable (https://support.xbox.com/en-us/xbox-live-status)
You appear to be in a region where this service is not available

I recommend you sign into Xbox.com and then go to your profile, select onto Xbox Settings, and then select Change account region.
