    Xbox shutting off and restarting by itself.


    I have owned my xbox for almost a year, it has shut off a few time within the past 3 or 4 months but now it shuts off atleast every 30 minutes. I have 2 dogs that shed alot and it could be dirty making it overheat but I'm not sure what I should. Don't want
    to try and clean it myself and fully break it. Any ideas.?

    sudden console shut down

    Hey folks. so my xbox 1 has been shutting off and then restarting all by itself lately. doesn't seem to be any particular operation im doing when this happens, it just does it. its getting annoying. its a hard shut down too. goes right back to the green
    xbox load screen. any ideas?

    Hi, my Xbox 360 Slim keeps shutting off by itself. Theres nothing bumping the button, its in the same spot ive kept my older 360 for years, the power brick shows a solid orange light. Help?

    Xbox 1 X crashed again...

    The Xbox is powering itself off and prompting on a restart that it shut down to due to poor ventilation. As previously stated on April 11th, I have my Xbox turn around with the venting ports going into the center of the room with fans and what not around.
    The Xbox itself shuts off and I have to manually press the "on" button on the console itself to come back on.

    Soft factory reset has been completed on the 11th. I stated in my response to that thread that everything seemed fine but it is not fine.

    Have you noticed that your xbox has been getting unusually hot? Is it the older model or the new slim? Do you have it in a closed space were its not getting good air flow or around other electronic that are on and producing alot of heat?... You might try
    putting it in a well ventilated spot and see if that helps

    The power button on the 360 could be stuck. You could try to take the faceplate off and snap it back in place. Or you can try to power it on and off threw your 360 controller. Sorry I can't give any more help but I hope that works !!

    I actually tried that too. And it didn't work either, it was a pretty random occurance and it's working fine now. Just curious as to why it would turn itself back on lol.
