    Brand new xbox and it won't accept or eject discs...

    I have a brand soankinnnew xbox one and it won't accept or eject discs! It's a brand new machine and I just bought a new game and now my nhl 2015 is stuck in it! Wouldn't mind so much if it was stuck far enough in that it would read the disc

    Kinect Wipeout 3 won't load

    Support: got my son Wipeout 3 for the Kinect and it won't load. Doesn't read the disc and either rolls on the XBOX screen or tells me to eject the disc and clean it. I've done all the updates, etc. Brand new game I bought from Microsoft directly online.
    I'm afraid to open the rest of his games and try them because they won't be returnable then. Please advise. Thanks!

    Well I had my xbox shut off for over 30 minutes turned it back on then it read the disc but when I tried to install it it said it was dirty and i ejected it looked at it it was clean put it back in and whoa not a shock but still isnt working...So its not
    the disc its not the disc drive its the software from microsoft....FIX IT!

    Exact same problem here! Bought a brand new console yesterday and it won't read game discs!! It reads blu rays and CDs but just not XB1 game discs! The least we deserve is an ETA!! We didn't buy an expensive paperweight!!

    Extra controller probably won't be included in the box. It will basically be an off the shelf controller in its own packaging. So doubtful it has the day one branding.

    Hey there!

    Sorry to hear that you're running into trouble with your console. It sounds like from what you're describing that your Xbox 360 is malfunctioning. (If you're on Xbox One, the results are the same though.) The console will need a repair and you can find more

    Hi, thanks for reply.

    I bought it pre-owned from a store. I think it possibly could be the internal drive. The other weird thing is sometimes it won't even boot with a disc in the drive. Just earlier I had been playing fifa from disc, gone back to the home menu, ejected the
    disc normally and placed in Halo MCC. It was as if the console did not recognize the new disc, so I restarted the console and it hung on splash screen. No errors, just the xbox logo like an infinite loop. I ejected the disc while it was "hanging" and it booted
    normally. I put Halo MCC in after boot and game runs. External drive had been formatted with xbox, most games are stored on external hard drive. It's like the dvd/bluray drive and external usb attachments interrupt the bootup of the internal hard drive. I
    haven't had any issues with the hdd reading/writing. Never had any errors or corrupt files. Hdd works normally with usb attachments after boot.

    Sometimes a disc won't eject and/or fails to recognize newly inserted disc. Only solution is to reset and eject disk on startup.
