Xbox shuts down in gameplay; no beep

Last night, my XBOX 360 Slim began shutting down inexplicably while in-game. I was playing a match on FIFA 14 when the console instantaneously shut off. I would liken it to pulling the power cord out mid-game. I checked the power cords (snug and secure)
and brick (orange when console is off; green when console is on), the "Auto-Off" feature is disabled, and the fan still works. I could physically see the fan spinning, so I can't imagine this would be a heating issue. I even took the cord from the surge protector
and moved it to the actual power outlet. Same problem. This happened once when I tried playing one of my downloaded games (Dead Island), but didn't happen for a different one (Halo 3).

what the hell men? i have the same problem , the funny is shut down the xbox i unplug the xbox from the electricity and i steel hear the beep !!

 

Auto Shutdown

It shuts down automatically, when it is running i can hear beep randomly, also it automatically start after 3-4 minuts

 

I've had the freezing issue, where it just freezes out of nowhere and the fan does continue to go. I've had issues where I turn the Xbox off but it keeps running. Visit this link:

Perhaps you need to replace your power supply even if it looks to be working fine?

 

Thanks for the advice. I've looked at the "Console turns off unexpectedly" page and tried everything it suggested, but I still get the same result.

Do you happen to know, if my console is a little over three years old, can I still send it to Microsoft for a repair?

 

Try playing FIFA 14 on another console with the same circumstances it might be FIFA 14. If it does works on the other console, replace your FIFA 14. If it works, try clearing the system cache. I don't think so except if you bought a warranty that does not
come with the xbox.

 

I have the same issue ... it just turns off.

I had the power supply replaced ... same issue

I had the console replaced, plugged it in today .... same issue

My next steps are to place the unit and power supply out in the open and cross my fingers. The cabinet is getting warm, but a brand new 360 and power supply?? Note this is not just during game play, it is after 5 - 10 min of use doing anything.
