Xbox shut down when i press eject button

    Hi,

    I've got a problem with my xbox, when i press the eject button, the console eject the game but also turn off. It happen like 3 times out of 5.

    Is there a way to fix that ?

    xbox one sluggish need help

    hi

    try this:

    1. Whilst powered on, press and hold power button on front of console till it fully shuts down.

    2.Press and hold eject and bind buttons, then press the power button (keep eject & bind pressed) and wait for second power up chime

    3. From the troubleshooter menu select reset keeping all games & apps

    shut down Xbox when the game is still running?

    Are the following actions harmful to console or disc? (it doesn't matter if the game is saved or not)

    1. pressing "Shut Down" button to shut down the console when the disc is running

    2. pressing eject button when the disc is running

    3. shutting down console at "Xbox Home" screen but leaving the disc inside without ejecting.

    hello Lendfield,

    Is your Xbox an Xbox One or One S? The reason I ask is because the power button on the One is capacitive, whereas the power button on the One S is mechanical.

    My apologies for not getting back to you sooner. My concern was that this might have to do with some kind of issue with the front plane circuit board that both power and eject button share. In the case of the an One S, if the fit of the front plane was just
    too tight, when pressed the eject button the power might also be depressed. However, you have Xbox One with a capacitive power button. So, in hopes it's not the circuit board itself, here a few things to try if you haven't already done so: Perform the now
    famous "How to restart or power cycle your Xbox One console", check to make sure you have the latest "Xbox
    One operating system versions and system updates    ", and if you have to "How to reset your console to factory defaults on Xbox One". Note, that
    you will have two option for the factory reset, but you can always re-download your profile, games and apps. At this point, if you are continuing to have the problem it maybe a hardware related issue and I would have to recommend that you get in "Contact" directly
    with Xbox Support.

    xbox one s shows unsupported mode after I changed the resolution

    Press and hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds till it FULLY shuts down.

    After that press and hold the Power button AND Eject disc button until you hear a beep. Should set it back to default.

    My Xbox one has frozen on the start up green screen.

    Firstly try just performing a power cycle.

    Press and hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds, till it fully shuts down, leave for 30 seconds then power back on. Hopefully this will refresh the system. If it doesn't then follow these steps.

    1. press and hold power button till fully shut down.
    2. Press both the bind and eject buttons (keep pressed)
    3. press power button (keeping bind and eject pressed) wait for second power up chime.
    4. From the troubleshoot menu select reset console
    5. Select reset keeping all games and apps.
    This should rectify any problems.
