  1. Xbox shouldn't be a 'safe space' go back to 360 era moderation!

I was in a party last night with a couple friends and we got to talking about the differences between the different eras of xbox, or rather the differences between Xbox 360 and Xbox 1/S/X, and the biggest problem mentioned by almost everyone was the overzealous
determination by the Xbox Enforcement Team. Now, before you begin furiously typing out "toxic" this and "racist" that legitimately think about it for a moment. Back in the 360 era you could get away with some amusing banter and trash talking provided it didn't
go to far, low-grade vulgarities and some cheesy yo mama jokes but nothing especially offensive, but after several incidents with friends and clan mates across several games it's become apparent that since the Xbox 1's release there has been a massive push
to try and eliminate anything even remotely offensive.

Don't get me wrong here, I'm all for weeding out the absolutely crazy people, but sometimes you have to just accept the fact that it's your own personal responsibility to choose what you deem as being unacceptable. Personally I get
messages all the time like 'F*** u camper' or 'Quit F***ing spawn peaking' or what have you, and I find that to just be part of the competitive aspect of the game. If someone does better than you in general, uses a cheap strategy, or is just being an egregious
prick you should say something. A simple 'lol f*** off m8' in response to someone **** you is not a cause for a report, nor is it a cause for a 1-7 day ban.

Yes, I think some things should be zero tolerance: Blatant racism, child porn, rape, physical abuse, death threats etc. All of that is absolutely uncalled for and if you take a game that seriously you might wanna get some mental help, but lighthearted trash
talking and a bit of vulgar banter doesn't seem like something that should be taken as seriously as other issues. Sure, I'll admit I've gotten a couple 24 hour bans in the past and I don't much care, but what irks me is when I snag a 24 hour ban for "quit
being a twat and PTFO" but I see the same kid online, in multiplayer, AND in a party at the same time after I get back "f*** off u n***er s**t..." and plenty of other garbage.

Seriously though, I wanna know the opinions of some legit gamers around here. What's your take on how the ToS is, how s****y a job the Enforcement Team does or doesn't, and whether or not the 'safe space' mentality has made Xbox in general even more anti-social.
I for one wish we could go back to the 360 days when game chat was populated and all you had to do was mute a couple of people every few games for playing loud music or something, not having to walk on eggshells to try and connect with gamers who won't spam
report you the moment you say something even remotely profane. The only person I've seen go any length of time without swearing was f***ing Flanders off the Simpsons, so don't say you're one of those people, own up to it!

    :)

Okay, also jumped back into Dead Space... Was stuck on a boss and beat it with ease after i figured controls out... heh.

Beat two more chapters, shit ran out of ammo for a bit, and got decapitated more than once cause i was doing stupid shit on an asteroid. Game still looks great, which is why i love bc now. Xbox 360 and forward will always look good, but go back to ps2 or ps1 era and man ugh.

Chapter 8 now, so 4 chapters to go in DS.

    USB Data0000, ...

Those files are how the 360 uses the configured space on the USB, so do not delete them.

Go back to your 360 and copy any files you want to save back onto the 360. DLC can be downloaded again so don't worry about saving that if you are short on internal space.

Now go back to where you configured it and pick the Remove Xbox 360 Storage option. Your USB stick is now fit for use for the PC only.

If you want to put movies on the USB and use it for 360 storage simply pick the manual configure option and split the space.

The rules have been the same for the entire life of Live. Nothing has changed.

Other than the addition of enforcement actions for custom gamerpics, dvr & activity feed which the 360 didn't have nothings changed.

As Smwutches said, the rules are exactly the same as they always have been.

  6. That might be true but it's blatantly obvious that the Enforcement team has become much more overzealous in their handing out of suspensions and/or bans over things that back on 360 were all but ignored except for the most important offenses. The whole point
of this is not to argue over the rule system but rather the enforcement of it. When the Xbox 1 console came out we saw Xbox suddenly accepting modded controllers and save-editing for single player games, taking their attention away from what should be considered
cheating left their enforcement department, in my opinion, with nothing better to do with their time. But like I said, this isn't about arguing about the rules, it's about the way Xbox is going about handling what should be non-issues. I'd ask what you think
about it, but I'd imagine that XBA status requires quite a bias.

  7. There is no need to use profanities while gaming.

Maybe if you are members of a clan and on a clan only gaming night in a private lobby then a slight slip of the tongue is inevitable and sometimes highly amusing.

But if you are in a openly public match with a load of randoms then that is a completely different situation, so never use offensive language or send offensive messages.

If you had been around the read the enforcement forums when they were around, you would definitely see it differently. The enforcement team are not ignoring anything and still enforce cheating just as much as they enforce something like profanity.

Of course you can get a ban or suspension for sending an offensive message via the 360.It's the same enforcement team that polices xbox live on both the 360 & xbox one.

Not true. There have always been console bans on the 360 for more than just modifications and theft. Console bans are also issued for excessive enforcement actions on a console.
