Xbox should be doing xbox one and 360 games cheaper.

Xbox have reduced games like assasins creed unity and farcry4 for £30,when you can buy it for £12.99 from game shops, its not right game prices drop really low quickly in game shops and your getting it on disc,so xbox should be doing games cheaper than what
they are doing them and they still have old games at full price

Which is completely ridiculous. Your 360 friends should be able to see which Xbox one games you have been playing and what you're currently doing on xbox one on their xbox 360's. The two consoles should be socially tied together, Microsoft dropped the ball
on this,

The title of this thread should be... Are their any new games coming out soon on the Xbox One that aren't going to be on / cheaper on the 360?

 

This would seem self evident but just buy your games from shops when the price drops.

 

At Major Nelson's Live podcast at Pax East he got a question like this. I just went back and double checked on what his answer was. He said when it comes to retail some of it has to do with getting customers in the door and buying stuff. Stores will lower
the price of something and then everyone else will do it to keep up.Sales are good at doing that. In the digital space that doesn't exist.

I'm sure that's part of it. But as the popularity of digital increases I bet we'll see the prices get lower quicker.

 

From my understanding, MS doesn't control the prices on the digital marketplace, those are set by the publishers. So, it's a bit out of their hands as to what they can do.

Usually if it's a game that I really want, I buy it (digitally) on the day of its release, but if it's one I'm on the fence about, I'll patiently wait for one of these sales to come around. Having said that.... still waiting on that sale for GTA V.

 

MS dont want cheap digi games. They want you in the game stores which they need to dell things consoles and peripherals.

 

In the physical world, compitition exists. Yet in the digital world, there is none. When/IF. That ever changes, then you'll see prices drop... For now the only digital price drops are when EA etc needs to sale a few not so popular games.

Ever see a digital sale on call of duty titals for example?

It would be nicer if digital games prices dropped a little quicker.

But there are sales all the time. I have created an extensive back log because of these sales.

Keep an eye out, amd surely you will catch a game you want

 

i dont think games are overprice there was this price back in the days of the snes and i remember paying 100s for games for my neo geo

 

Plus if your going to make the effort to actually go the store for that sale price, there is a good chance you'll buy other items (Maybe at a higher markup.) while you're there. The trade off is the convenience of buying Halo, sitting on the couch in your
Underoos, while getting orange powder on the controller from Cheetos.
