    I've been capturing my game play on cod using the xbox provided process. Sometimes the audio will make this loud repeating noise. Can continue to play for about 10 seconds then the xbox will turn off. It first did this on an old external drive, so I've
    tried it on the internal drive and does the same thing. Prob unrelated but i have problems loosing connections to the games server and xbox live. My son says it sometimes shuts down watching Netflix too, but I tend not to watch netflix on the xbox. I have
    the xbox one x.

    Made a quick video to showcase just how jerky the video output is. This is after a hard reset and using the original video captured by the xbox (which plays perfect).

    My captures are gone. Save really should mean save.

    After 90 days, captures are deleted from the Xbox network. It actually states this on the captures app. In the future, if you have a screenshot or video capture you want to keep, it is always a good idea to make a backup of them asap.

    The HDMI input is probably not a capture device, but a pass-through to the laptop's LCD.



    You would want a capture device to capture video from the 360. I'm not sure if the latest iteration has enabled HDCP when games are being played. You may need to go with Component video capture instead of HDMI.
