    Xbox Setup, checking your connection forever


    I'm trying to setup my Xbox but it's just stuck at checking your connection, it's been like this for an hour or so and I'm kinda kissing my patience, any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance

    Xbox one : Can't connect to Wi-Fi on Setup

    I am having trouble on Xbox one Setup , I can't connect to Wi-Fi on Setup , It is stuck on "Checking Connection' , then after 5 min It give me a error!

    XBOX Powering on unconnected Sky?

    Is it still setup as one of your devices, it does not have to be connected to the Xbox because the Kinect is the device that will turn it on or off.
    Check in Settings and Devices to turn on or off and the Sky Box may still be active within that.

    No. It must be connected to the internet for both setup, and downloading updates so it's not just a brick out of the box. After this one connection, you can play offline forever.

    Can not connect AGAIN

    Do you have the ability to take this to a friends house and check the connections there? That'd be the one surefire way to check if it's your XBOX or your connection setup. It might just be something like a power surge that could have affected your XBOX
    360 in some way with Irene etc. It's just a suggestion.

    I Have Absolutely NO Intention on Keeping My Xbox One Connected to the Internet

    As long as you connect it once for the initial update and setup, there are no restrictions on you keeping the system offline forever afterwards. Achievements won't unlock until you connect to Live and you won't get the latest console or title updates but
    other than that you don't miss out on anything for choosing to play your games without an active connection.

    Xbox does not remember WiFi

    The xbox usally remember wlan passwords.

    So try to setup the xbox in Fast-Start and try again.

    Does this happen to all devices?

    -> check your router/modem setup

    Is there a way to connect it wired?

    Otherwise there is a way to use dlan-adapters.
