Xbox Settings say console is connected, but won't sign in to XBL

If signing out and back in nor removing the profile works , then I have to believe it's a connection issue ....wireless band of 5 ghz will cause this and some isp router firmware will also ... (Arris , superhubs , and technicolor just to name a few)

 

@Bimnog So there isn't any way to resolve the issue completely, other than signing in and out every time it happens?

 

not if the issue is your router ...iyou may have one that isn't "xbox friendly" ....what is the model and make ?

 

that's the problem....superhub... are you wireless?

@Goldbar , the superhubs are well known for not maintaining a connection to xbox live , especially wireless ....a few have had luck if you change the wireless range , but a wired connection might be your only hope ....or , you can put the superhub in "bridge",
then get a different router ...

 

@Genesis1953 -- I have tried signing out and back in, which didn't resolve the issue. I've also done a hard reset, worked with an Xbox technician early on trying to resolve the issue.

@Bimnog -- my default connection for all my consoles is wired, for my Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3 and PS4. I've had no connectivity issues with the 360, PS3 or PS4, and as others have noted, the issue started around the holidays with the NXE update. To resolve
the connectivity issue, I have to switch back and forth (from wired to wireless until I turn the XB1 back on, then I have the same issue and have to switch back to wired).

Are people still having an issue with virgin media home hub and connecting to Xbox live or strict NAT on the Xbox one?

I have found a solution that has worked well for me and have not had any issues for the last 2 weeks.

and all I had to do was sign out of my profile

and sign back in and my xbox is working fine
