Xbox Settings say console is connected, but won't sign in to XBL

I have 2 Xbox Ones. One of them is connected to Xbox Live just fine, however the other will not connect. I checked the Network Settings and tested my connection and the console says I'm connected and all services are available. But the home screen says I'm
not connected and when I select "Connect to Xbox Live" nothing happens.

I've performed the following troubleshooting steps:

- Cold booted the console

- Power cycled modem

- Changed ethernet ports

I feel I've done everything short of a factory reset. Any suggestions that will keep me from needing to do that are much appreciated.

Xbox one error code re not connecting to network

My son's is trying to sign into xbox live and we get an error code 0x800704cf saying need to be connected to the network.

We've tested the network settings and overall the xbox says it is connected to the network but won't allow any sign in to xbox live?

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance....

About an hour or so ago, I was disconnected from XBL. I tried to sign back in, to have my console say "Your connection to Xbox LIVE has been lost. Please sign in again.". So, I did. Said the same thing. Tested my connection, everything checks out fine. Even
says i'm connected to XBL. Except I can't sign in. Already used the troubleshooting on the site. Didn't help at all.

 

I'm having this issue right now myself. I see my friends list but my Xbox acts like it's offline. Right after i thought this Live trouble was fixed too...

 

I was having the same issue as both of you guys, My Xbox was connected to the internet and both the network and multiplayer connections were fine, but live would not connect. What worked for me was to sign out and then sign back in, everything came back
online instantly.

(note I had recently changed my Microsoft account password so I'm not sure if that had anything to do with it.

Go to settings, network settings, advanced settings, Alternate MAC address, clear, restart console.

I have this issue every 3 to 4 times I turn my Xbox One on. It's very annoying. Can someone from Xbox support please advise a permanent fix for this? The issue begun with the new Windows 10 dash last year.

PFC God I am having the same issue this morning.

 

If "sign out and sign back in " dosent work , remove the profile frome the console , then shut down everything , xbox ,modem and router...when it all comes back up , re add the profile....

 

Thanks Shurman, been having the same issue as everyone on here - I tried signing out and back in and it signed me in straight away - if anyone else is having trouble, I recommend trying this - never even thought of a simple sign out.

 

Finally, someone with the same issue as me. Can do everything normally for a while. Then, Can't access store, party, messages. Can't play games, can't use Internet: Yet, I still have my friends list, and troubleshooting says there are no issues. Had this
since about Christmas 2015. Hate it so much.

Signing out and signing back in works for a while, then it goes back to not being able to do much of anything.

 

@Goldbar, try what I listed above if signing out dosent last for long ....remove your profile, shut everything down, then re add your profile. ...

 

Signed out and back in with password prompt and im golden!

 

@Bimnog Thanks for trying, but I'm afraid this didn't work. Just did what said it does after a while of playing.

I don't know if it was luck, but it seemed to last longer to happen though.

 

I'm having this exact same issue, started happening around the same time as others. For me, I usually have to change from wired to wireless and I can connect. Next time I boot up, same issue and I have to switch back to wired. Whatever is causing this
issue, I'd love to have it fixed soon.

 

Proxak have you tried signing out and back in as suggested above and if that doesn't work remove your profile and do a hard reset of your console then add the profile back.
