Xbox services not working for my account or Xbox in general

Right now I'm having problems with my account and Xbox. It is very slow when loading everything and sometimes won't even load the home screen on the Xbox. I can log onto my account but I can't click on apps because if I do it will boot me straight off of
the app and makes things even slower. After that the Xbox says "Apologies, our service isn't working properly at the moment. To check Xbox Live service status, go to https://support.xbox.com" So I went onto the site but I couldn't find the problem to my xbox.

Try performing the hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart
the console.

I have accidentally redeemed voucher code to my Microsoft account. Can I send it to my sons xbox account.

Youd have to check with customer service and see if there is anything they can do but generally speaking nothing is transferable between accounts.

Have you power cycled your Xbox? When the console is on, hold down the power button on the console for about 10 seconds until it shuts down and then remove the power cable from the Xbox and the power outlet for about 2-3 minutes. Then re-connect and turn
on the Xbox.

If this does not help, and you have done a factory reset already and the issue continues, then your console has a hardware malfunction and will need to be sent in for inspection and repair. It's possible the disc drive is not working properly if Blu-Rays
or game discs are not working, but if the system seems slow in general you should still send it in to get inspected if the resets did not work.

I got an Xbox One today so I can properly answer this now. Logged into my two-factor-enabled account and was prompted on screen for two factor authentication. I used my phone to generate the one time use code (like I do with most other services) and it worked
perfectly.

The Xbox One doesn't require an 'app password' like the Xbox 360. Not sure where donniehun got their information, but it was flat out wrong.
