    Xbox Service Won't Connect


    My Xbox live profile will not connect to the online service. It's strange because I've had this Issue for about three days now, and Only when I want to play any type of matchmaking service. Here's the low down.

    I use my profile constantly to play online unless my service expires. Just recently a friend used his Credit Card to pay for me to have Gold. He told me to remove his information which I did so that It didn't renew service. Well. I noticed that after I had
    removed his information I would not connect to any online service.

    Also. Another thing. I can go to my dashboard and It will connect perfectly fine. Now when It comes to playing games it wants me to test connection, when I already know that it IS connected. I've done this connection test at least Five Times just to make
    sure that there was an issue.

    Another thing to this is that when I connect to My Friend's Profile who also has Xbox Live service, It allows me to play online. So why is it that only my profile is having complications?

    If there was a Tech Support Number i could Call I'd be so happy to call that and chat with them further on the issue as to why only my profile is having these complications.

    Hey ScratchyKitt, how are you today? Hope you're well.

    ScratchyKitt, try this:

    Call your internet service provider, and ask them to open the ports described below on your router.

    Port 88 (UDP)

    Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)

    Port 53 (UDP and TCP)

    Port 80 (TCP)

    Port 500 (UDP)

    Port 3544 (UDP)

    Port 4500 (UDP)

    Also ask to disable and then, enable it again the UPnP function and if you have a modem and a router the process has to be done on both devices.

    Besides, ask them to put their PC's IP in the DMZ zone configuration.

    To locate the IP of your PC: On the taskbar, select Wi-Fi network > the Wi-Fi network you're connected to > Properties.

    Under Properties, look for your IP address listed next to IPv4 address.

    Bro i dont know much but i think that it may help try downloading xbox application from microsoft store type xbox and download then sign in

    If you are using console then follow these steps

    1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off. ​​​
    2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller. ​​​

    I think fault is pointing at Microsoft considering I can use my internet and other services besides xbox live. PS3 is able to connect to it's network, so how is that Verizons fault that it won't connect to Xbox Live?

    Manually Download Patches?

    More to the point, for the most part, title updates are only necessary in order to connect to Xbox LIVE. If the service is discontinued, then you won't need the patches anyway.
