    So some games on my series xs won't play sound. It's happened for awhile but only for a few indie games so I chalked it up to bugs they were working out. Now it's like every none major title game I own or download from gamepass. Sometime if I use a head set I can hear like that but most times not. I have tried 3 hdmi cables, 2 brand new. Tried the restart and then the hard power down. Unplugged my soundbar and speakers did it all again. Worked for the first game that is usually buggy, but I turned it off came home a few hours later and same issue. What's the next step, or should I just toss it out the window and get a Playstation cause this is getting old lol

    OK so now different games are without sound lol, can't win with this. I'm try the insider thing you mentioned, if all else fails I know a tall place to drop it from that'll make a cool video. Thanks for the info though. See what happens

    Hello steveR84, sorry to hear you're having trouble with your audio.

    The easiest way to fix this would probably be to do a factory reset on the console and do not bring over previous settings or use the app while setting the console up again (this would require you to know the email/password for all accounts on the console). If you choose to try this method there is an option to keep your installed games so you won't need to redownload them and your saves will be safe on the Cloud.

    However, Xbox is also aware of an issue with intermittent audio across games and apps. If you don't already have it installed please download the Xbox Insiders Hub and follow the instructions to Report a Problem with your Audio.

    OK so did what you said with factory reset. Seems to be good. I'm leave it off for a bit and check later, but 2 games I had issues with seem to work now. Thanks for the info. This had been bugging me for awhile lol. Thx
