Xbox series X won’t launch certain games

Make sure your console is up to date with the latest system updates. You can check for updates by going to "Settings" > "System" > "Console info & updates" on your console.

Check to see if there are any known issues or maintenance being done on the games or apps you are trying to launch. You can check the status of Xbox Live services on the Xbox Live Service Status page.

Make sure you have enough free space on your console to install the games or apps. You can check the available space on your console by going to "Settings" > "System" > "Storage" on your console.

Try uninstalling and reinstalling the games or apps. This can sometimes fix problems with corrupt files or other installation issues.

If you are using an external hard drive to store the games or apps, try moving the games or apps to the internal storage of the console and see if that resolves the issue.

If none of these steps help, you may want to try performing a "Hard Reset" of your console. To do this, unplug the power cord from the back of the console, wait 10 seconds, then plug the cord back in and turn the console on.

Previously confirmed that, for the first few years, all Xbox Series X games will also be available on Xbox One. This promise was from July 2020.

Ok I have both versions of GTA downloaded on my series x the Xbox one version works fine on the series x I then downloaded the series s/x version on the series x I then launched the game and it gives the error message

With the Xbox One X you'll be safe to wait well after launch to buy the new Series X.

They've already said that launch games like Halo Infinite will also be launched for Xbox One consoles.

I've had my Xbox One X for over a year. I plan to buy the Xbox Series X for my main television and then move my Xbox One X to my living room television as my secondary console.
