    xbox series x wont completely shut down


    i hold in my power button for like 12 seconds and it doesn’t turn off completely. i know it’s still on because my external storage stays on even after i shut it off and i’ve tried to mess with the settings and everything and i don’t know how to get it to turn off COMPLETELY. the xbox one didn’t have this issue so i feel like maybe it’s something i’m doing that’s causing it but from what i’ve read online a lot of other people have had this issue. any suggestions?

    I'm sure it could be that you should look at more settings there is a setting for it to fully power off or sleep mode

    Hi there! I'll do my best to help.

    Have you tried to manually turn off your Xbox console from the menu if it turns off correctly?

    It looks like our best option here is to perform a factory reset to remove potentially corrupted data on your console.
    Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
    Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.
    Select Reset console.
    On the Reset your console? Please choose “Reset and keep my games & apps”

    Got it. I am afraid that this may be a bug. I would recommend that you file a bug directly to Team Xbox for them to properly investigate it. You can use the Report a problem app to report it. Check your guide here https://support.xbox.com/help/account-profile/m...
