    Xbox Series X Won't Boot Up


    I have had my Xbox Series X from day 1 and I've not had any issues with it until now. While playing Football Manager 2021 something happened to make the system crash and it turned itself off. Now when I try to turn it on it comes on for 4-5 seconds and turns off. I've tried a number of things ie unplugging the power cord, leaving it out for 30 seconds and putting it back in and I've even tried to set it up on another TV without success. Does anyone know if there is anything I can do that may fix it?

    I understand that you are experiencing issues with your Xbox not booting up.

    I apologize for the inconvenienced this has caused you. I will do my best to help you.

    First let us get the Start up troubleshooter:

    Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.

    Wait 30 seconds, and then plug the power cord back in.

    Press and hold the Pair button and the Eject button on the console, and then press the Xbox button  on the console.

    NOTE: The Xbox Series S and the Xbox One S All-Digital Edition do not have Eject buttons. You can bring up the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter on this console by holding only the Pair button (steps 3 and 4) and then pressing the Xbox button .

    Continue holding the Pair and Eject buttons for 10-15 seconds.

    Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the Pair and Eject buttons after the second power-up tone.

    The console should power up and take you directly to the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter.

    From the options please choose: "Continue" and it will restart your Xbox.

    Please plug in the Xbox directly to a wall outlet too.

    Microsoft haven't said it is. I believe the green Xbox One startup screen will stay, and the Xbox Series X/S will get the new Xbox boot up screen.
