    Xbox Series X Wired Connection Flickering


    For some reason whenever I plug an Ethernet cable into my Xbox it will work and run at a fast speed but will then disconnect and log me offline. It’ll then quickly reconnect at times and then sometimes it’ll take a few minutes to reconnect. The connection works fine on my brothers Xbox Series S and I even bought a new cable to see if that was the problem but I’m still having issues. I guess is there a hardware issue with my Xbox or is there some setting I could adjust or reset to stop the wired connection from flickering?

    Hi, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

    You're correct that it may be due to a hardware issue or the ethernet port on your Xbox Series X. But to ensure that this is not a corrupted system file that is causing the issue kindly reset your console keeping your games and apps.

    Don't worry because as long as you're connected to Xbox Live your saved progress, games, will not be deleted. It will remove all of your accounts but you can add all of them later on.

    Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

    Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

    Select Reset console.

    Reset and keep my games & apps.

    If that didn't work, kindly use a different switch the port on the router from your brother to yours just to isolate the issue further. If the same issue occurs getting it repaired will be the best option. Here you go: https://account.microsoft.com/devices.
