    XBOX Series X will not turn on


    I need some help and advice please.

    My Series X stopped powering on today, just a month after the 1 year warranty ran out.

    Issue: I get the light turning on, a beep, then it clicks and turns off. Cycle lasts about 1 sec. No boot images etc. It just shuts straight out like there is a surge protection or something. Tried power cycling/resettinng internal etc. Nothing.

    My first request is, therefore, can I try anything else?

    The second is a bit more difficult: I have lost my receipt, though I registered on the day of purchase. Have looked everywhere.

    The UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 allows me to expect a premium product to last longer than this, irrespective of limited warranties, which cannot negate this statutory right. Apparently. However, I cannot access the warranty links to get it fixed, aand worst, Microsoft seem to think I should have to pay £200+ to repair. This seems excecssive for a premium product.

    I actually have 2 Series X and one Series S in my household for different family members, plus every other console. I have never faced this side of Microsoft and feel truly let down at the moment.

    Any help appreciated.

    I have almost the same problem except the error message says

    “if you’re using Xbox series X/S, note that HDMI audio can’t be turned off. In other consoles, either optical or HDMI audio must be on. (0x80bd0009)

    Why can’t I turn off hdmi audio on Xbox series x it makes no sense?
