Xbox series X — white residue

Hi! I have a new Xbox series X setup in my basement. I noticed a white residue on the outside of the console and in the vent holes. Any ideas why this is happening and how to prevent it? Can this cause any major issues

Hello Mike, this is really unusual, you mention that the console is in a basement, it is uncovered when you are not playing and it is turned off, is there any possibility that something is getting in through the vents on the Xbox?
