Xbox series X turning off randomly

    Xbox series X turning off randomly


    I just got the new Xbox series X today. Took it home and got it all set up and started downloading some games. The console keeps shutting off randomly and not turning back on for several minutes. I’ve tried switching outlets, made sure the fan is on/that the device isn’t overheating, changed the auto shut down timer, checked for updates, checked my cords and connections. It seems to keep happening whenever the console is left to idle for any period of time. Is there any other fixes for this? Faulty power supply maybe? Extremely frustrating, ready to take it back and exchange for another console or a PS5 at this point.

    Not necessarily fifa 21 xbox one version crashes and turns mine off so does fortnite

    same. turns off after usually less than a minute. doesn't seem hot at all. Haven't even been able to start installing a game yet. Barely made it through the initial console update.

    tried letting it rest unplugged for an hour. same thing less than a minute after turning on. not even launching a game, just at the dashboard.
