    Xbox Series X - Turning off mid-game - NBA 2K21


    I have searched this for weeks. My console does just fine for the most part. I can play single player games all day long with no issue. But when I connect to online matches my system runs real hot and then switches off without warning. I typically experience this with NBA 2k21 and only when I play online matches. It's driving me insane at this point.

    I have adjusted power saving options, reformatted the console, reinstalled nba 2k. I've tried it with the console standing up and laying down. I have the system with at least 6 inches of free space around it on all sides. Is anyone else experiencing this or found a fix?

    Sorry but 2k has not announced cross-play for the game.

    Since you have to pay for the game separately on both consoles I doubt they will have Xbox One and Xbox Series X crossplay.

    Before someone says If you buy NBA 2K21 Mamba Forever Edition you get the Xbox Series X version. Yes, that edition bundles both the Xbox One version and the Xbox Series X version but is not a free upgrade or the same game.

    A lot of people playing on the Series S and X are having issues with the game frequently crashing to dashboard and, sometimes, even causing the console to switch itself off. The same happened with the next gen version of 2k21

    So I have been trying to download nba 2k21 current gen I have a disk for it and I just got a new Xbox series x and every time I try to download the game it always says installation stoped I’ve tried multiple times to downloading it I’ve even looked up on YouTube done methods on that didn’t work and ask a agent for help and told me what to do didn’t work as well

    Yea I read somewhere it has to do with how the game is optimized or not for the new consoles. If it’s a X/S optimized game it may occur. Most likely a memory leak with certain games happening. No idea for sure though.
