    Xbox Series X Thumbstick Problem

    Hello,

I have recently purchased a Series X and have come across this weird problem with my controller. When using the controller, there is an uncomfortable thing with both of my thumbsticks (mainly the left one). When not actually moving the thumbstick and just applying minimal pressure, it tends to move a little bit and I think that it is because it's not properly fitted into its compartment.

There is another problem which also includes both the thumbsticks as well. When pressing the thumbstick down and applying a little bit of pressure, the thumbstick stops and then you have to apply a little bit more pressure to actually press the button. When it stops, It's like a squishy feeling.

Because I recently purchased this console, I will have warranty but I do not know if it is valid and do not know how to claim it if it is. It is quite hard to explain this problem but if anyone knows an answer to this, I'd appreciate it if they'd help out.

    Thanks,

    KK

    :)

Problem with Xbox Series X controller left thumbstick.

    Hello,

So I'm not 100 percent sure if it is or not, but the worst thing you can do is call and contact them about it. Do you have a warranty? Let me know bud I'm curious to see what happens with your issue.

Xbox series X controller left stick constantly registered as pushed in

Hi and thanks for reaching out. I hope you’re doing well. I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you and I'll be happy to help you.

It sounds like there may be an issue with the left thumbstick on your Xbox Series X controller. It's possible that the thumbstick is not properly calibrated or that there is some debris stuck under the thumbstick. To fix this issue, you can try the following steps:

    1. Calibrate the thumbstick.

    2. Clean the thumbstick and the area around it. Use a soft cloth and some rubbing alcohol to gently clean the thumbstick and the area around it. This can help remove any dirt or debris that may be causing the issue.

    3. Check for debris. If there is debris stuck under the thumbstick, it could be causing the thumbstick to register as being pressed when it is not. Carefully inspect the thumbstick and use a small tool, such as a toothpick or a pin, to remove any debris that you find.

    4. Check the controller's firmware. Make sure that you have the latest firmware installed on your controller.

If none of these steps fix the issue, it's possible that there is a problem with the controller itself. In this case, you may need to consider sending in your controller to have it repaired/replaced.

xbox elite series 2 thumbstick calculation feature, what does it mean?

    Hi ,

Thanks for taking the time to ask this question here on the forums. Regarding the thumbsticks on the new Xbox Elite controller series 2, the calculations refer to actions that can be taken by the thumbsticks themselves, so it essentially the following (pardon
    for the loose translations):

    • Radial - based on radius of full or half-circle movements made by the thumbstick,
    • Independent axis - based on the X or Y axis (up/down, L to R movement)
    • True Diagonals - would mean true 90deg diagonals based on the X/Y axis

For further information regarding any settings on this particular controller, I'd recommend checking out the following support articles that can detail what can be done more explicitly:

Get to know your Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2

Adjust the thumbsticks on your Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2

Use the Xbox Accessories app to customize your Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2

In general, it would be a good idea to test out different settings, just to see what works best for you and makes you more comfortable in gaming with the controller.

I hope that this information helps out!
Oh okay , thank you very much for this response.
