    XBox Series X Strange Artifacts on Screen


    Hello everyone,

    played some Assassin's Creed Valhalla yesterday on my Series X. All of a sudden the image got very glitchy. Lots of bright colored artifacts appeard on Screen. It got worse and worse and at its worst even thr textures seem to pop in and out.

    Switched the game....and had the same problem with Gears 5.

    Funny thing is that the Dashboard didnt have the problem....only games seem to glitch out.

    I dont have an 120hz Display so it doesn't seem the well known problem with some TVs.

    After trying several things.... rebooting, different HDMi Cable, changing resolution it did quit all downloads that where active for several hours..... and the problem was gone. At least i hope so. Been playing for 3 hours and the issue didn't reacure. Was
    my SSD overheated from the downloads? I mean the Xbox run about 14 hours when the problem occurred.

    Changed TVs and Cables.....also the Xbox stood completely free on the top of a shelf.

    The problem got even worse after a while and games had the problem from the start. Also Textures poped in and out.

    I have a video of it on Instagram on my story(gamer_with_mask) that shows it happening in Forza Horizon.

    I am pretty sure its a faulty GPU. Microsoft sadly wasn't able to send me a replacement unit so i had to send the broken system back to Amazon since the repair would probably took longer then the restocking (that's what Micorsoft told me)!

    Artifacts like that are likely a GPU overheatint issue and means the console should be returned

    My Problem came back.....and it got worse. Couldn't boot any game without extreme graphical glitches.
