Xbox Series X still shuts down by itself

How can I stop the random shut downs? Is it the game or a faulty console?

Already tried everything I could and got a replacement console from microsoft, which still turns off. Somehow it's even worse now, it crashed 3 times within 45 min for me yesterday.

NBA 2K21 Next Gen is the only game that does this, usually online mid-game. I was able to play AC Valhalla for 60 hours without a single crash and every other game seems fine too. At this point I don't anymore if it's a faulty console or just the game itself? (like how COD Cold War is known to crash systems)

Hey there. I have the same problems. It occurs when playing nba 2k22 and yesterday it also happened at fifa 22. what’s the issue Microsoft?

Mine just shut down while i was watching sling.

It has been doing this since i got the console.

I have ps5 and gaming pc’s so I primarily use this thing as a sling box in my bedroom.

There is an issue with this console that is yet to be addressed.

Xbox 360 2.0?

It can be data corruption, but yes, it’s all software errors triggering protect mode based in your description.

Interesting, so it's the game and not the console causing this? I already contacted 2k support in hopes that they can help fix this issue so now I'm just waiting for their response.

Some people on reddit seem to have success fixing it, after having their consoles replaced, but the fact that this only happens on game to me makes me unsure of what the problem is.
