Xbox series x started to turn back on.

on 12/09/21 when i use controller to turn off xbox. Screen goes black xbox logo on console blinks 3 times then about 10 seconds, the machines turns itself back on.

I have had it since launch and nothing has changed. Haven't changed settings. I have had 2 external hdd for storage since launch. No new games for a while.

Only thing I know is xbox got an update on the 8th, I did log in on the 8th about 10 a.m. pst and that was it uintill the 9th when i tried to shut it down.

I had to unplug it, but as soon as I plugged it in, it turned on.

Any buddy know what the *&%$?

First switch the power setting to Energy-saving mode and see if the issue persists. In energy-saving power mode, your console is shut down to save energy. In this mode:
Your console takes 45 seconds to start up.
You must press the Xbox button to start the console.
- To change this setting:
- Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
- Select Profile & system > Settings > General > Power mode & start-up.
- Select from the Power mode drop-down menu to change the setting and choose Energy-saving.

If the issue still continues after that, unplug the console from any surge protector and plug it directly into the wall. If it doesn't solve the problem, then I'll recommend you do a power cycle to clear the system cache

- Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.

- Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 2 minutes.

- Plug the console power cable back in. Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on and check if it's all good.

If that doesn't help, I'll suggest you try doing a factory reset keeping games and apps on your console. This will refresh the console and remove all potential bugs without deleting any game data.

- Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
- Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.
- Select Reset console.
- Choose Keep Games and Apps

Once that is done, you'll need to sign into the console using your Microsoft account credentials. If the issue is with your console, that should fix it.

Try this procedure, hope it helps: Plug the power cord back into your Xbox Series X|S; Turn on the control; Press and hold the sync button on your Xbox Series X|S; Press the sync button on the controller until the time it starts flashing rapidly, then release it.

Same problem here. Using turtle beach stealth 700 gen 2's. Not sure what's causing it.
