Xbox Series X slow dashboard

When i first start up my Xbox the tiles at the home screen take a little while to load also the store tiles and game pass tiles. I feel like they should load instantly when the xbox starts up not take a minute or two. Ive also noticed when I’m browsing the store it can sometimes be slow and will hitch at times.

I’ve tried hard resetting my console and I’ve reset my console. I’ve freed up a good amount of storage on my internal storage. I’ve cleared the local persistent storage like people have said even though i dont watch blu rays. And nothing seems to work. I just feel like the dashboard should be more snappy.

I understand you need help with your Xbox problem.

Have you tried using the console without the internet? Just to check if it has nothing to do with it.

And also, try resetting the console and deleting everything as a last resort. If you are using an external hard drive, try playing the console without it.

If none of these will work, there could already be an issue with the Xbox itself and would require a service. You can check warranty and services here:

Personally I like the new dashboard. Its a bit faster than before. A bit more fluid as well. The dashboard used to be very slow and laggy and it has been getting better over time. Still not perfect but hopefully, they will get there by the time Series
X comes out.

Hi,

Your drive will work the same on Series X as it does on Xbox One and you won't need to format it.

However, Series X games or Xbox One games with Series X enhancements will not run from that drive and will either need to be installed internally or to an external SSD designed for Series X/S.

Your hard drive will be too slow for Series X games. They can be stored there, but not run from there.

I'm pretty sure there will be more customization options on the Xbox Series X dashboard.
