    Xbox Series X shutting down with media apps


    I have a problem where my Series X is shutting down randomly from media apps. Apps like YouTube, Netflix and even the Blu-Ray player. I have tried the tricks like flipping the power cable, factory reset, and even turning on its side. I haven't done plugged into the wall because my power cable it far from the outlet and needs a power strip to be plugged. What do I do? Do I have to send it iin? Is it a software issue?

    I was running into the same problem for days with no available solutions working. But after disabling a few things while troubleshooting, i found that 4k uhd was the culprit. After disabling it and running 1080p with raytracing enabled, i have had zero
    shutdowns. With 4k enabled i would notice prior to shutdown that the game would stutter when dismounting my aim. Seconds later it would crash. For the past 2 days i have logged multiple 4-5 hour sessions without any problems. Its truly disappointing to have
    a 4k capable console, not capable of 4k. Hopefully a future update will correct this.
