Xbox Series X shutting down while playing COD Cold War

I can’t do this anymore man. My Xbox series X has shutdown and crashed about 30 times since I’ve gotten it on November 13th. My series X shutdown twice today alone. The most it’s ever done was 4 times in one day. This only happens whenever I am playing
call of duty black ops Cold War both campaign and multiplayer. Every other game works perfectly fine. I don’t have the new 2k or assassins creed. Only seems to crash with COD. I’m so nervous that my series X is broken from all the crashes. The most it’s ever
done in one day was 4. I have the optimized series X version of the game as well with the X/S label on it.

I’ve tried resetting the console, moving the positions, moving the outlet. I’m having a lot of anxiety because I enjoy the series X dearly. I need Xbox or somebody just to help me out because I’m truly disappointed.

I have the same problem on my series x cod cold war and assassins creed valhalla both shut the xbox down its very frustating also im noticing achievements not poping no resume game working

Hi,

This could be due to the Cold War version you are using on your Series X, did you take a look at
here?

II PACALYPSE

Half my league has same issue on NBA 2k21. Its not overheating is upright and plugged directly into wall outlet. How is this not listed as a known issue when everyone knows about it.

I’m having the same problem man, although I don’t believe it’s an Xbox Series X issue. I haven’t bought next gen and am still only on the Xbox One X and my game constantly crashes ONLY while playing Cold War. I have no clue how to fix my own issue but
for Series X users I hear that turning off Ray Tracing is an easy temporary fix. I’ve also heard that this issue has been breaking peoples Series X so you might just want to hold off on playing until they release a patch.

Yeah, I think I'm going to hold off on playing COD cold war until they release a mega patch. I'm happy that I am not the only one dealing with this issue. I'll turn off Ray Tracing and see what happens after.
