    Xbox Series X shutting down when transferring apps


    So I'm on the latest Alpha OS and I was transferring about 6 apps that were on my WD external HDD over to the internal SSD. On the 5th one my Xbox just shut itself off and when I powered it back on it would just shut down or freeze on the dash. I had to unplug the external HDD and do a restart for it to boot stable.

    It's happened twice now and for some reason it's only with apps, transferring games hasn't caused this. I don't think it's the HDD, I've been using it with the console since November and this issue has just popped up.

    Yes I did this the other day and it still shuts down after I quit the game, I have checked all my settings and nothing is set for the series x to shut down when I quit a game.

    The only reason I don’t think Xbox 360 servers will be shut down anytime soon, even after series X comes out, is that you still have games that I’ve just been added to backwards compatibility and those games will continue on when series X comes out. A
    lot of the backwards compatible games have multiplayer elements that need servers so it wouldn’t be a good idea to shut down games you just released.
